  26.     Last year DYNAMIX(tm) released what I believed was the most incredible
  27.     sports sim I had ever seen.  I was totally addicted to the game.  So much
  28.     so that I had started writing utility programs to enhance the game.  A
  29.     friend suggested that I should try out the "SHAREWARE" concept, so I
  30.     uploaded FPEDIT v1.0 to Sierra's BBS on 12/28/92.  Well the response was
  31.     so great that I decided to really put some effort into this thing.  Well,
  32.     after a few revisions (by about v4.0) I was extremely happy with what
  33.     FPEDIT had evolved into.  Not merely a "cheat" but an analysis tool that
  34.     to this day is in use by thousands of users.  I got 10-20 phone calls a
  35.     day and some of you even registered the product (about 2%) something I
  36.     never expected.  Well it got better.  One day I got a call from a guy
  37.     named Pat Cook, the mastermind / genius behind FPSF.  My first thought was
  38.     "oh no he's gonna sue me.."  On the contrary, he said that DYNAMIX was in
  39.     the process of developing FPSF:PRO and he was wondering if I would like to
  40.     take part in testing it.  It took me about 1/2 second to blurt out "YEA!".
  41.     Well what followed was an experience I'll never forget, Pat Cook sent me
  42.     many betas, always listened to my suggestions, and addressed every bug
  43.     that I found.  I can't even explain to you how dedicated the guys at
  44.     DYNAMIX are.  I am eternally grateful to Mr. Cook for letting me take
  45.     part in the testing.  Front Page Sports Football PRO is now available as
  46.     I write this (mid SEP) and it is being received with tremendous acclaim.
  47.     The game is a masterpiece!  Anyways, to make a short story long this is
  48.     FPEDIT-PRO! Enjoy it.  It has all the functionality of the original and
  49.     more.  (See "Whats New")  I hope you enjoy it, and please register it
  50.     if you do.  Registrations are the only thing that keep me going on those
  51.     long "Bug Hunting" nights.  You guys don't know how much I appreciate all
  52.     the calls, eMAIL, letters etc..  Keep em coming, because as you'll see later
  53.     I have 2 other Utilities/Expantion disks almost completed "FPScout" and my
  54.     current pet project "FPDraft".

  71.     USE A MOUSE !!

  73.     The whole program should be pretty easy to use.  I highly recommend a mouse
  74.     but If you are using the keyboard: TAB will move you to the next field,
  75.     SHIFT-TAB will move you to the previous field, and ENTER or SPACE will
  76.     select.  Also note that to quickly access any "Button" just hold ALT and
  77.     whatever letter is White on the button.  Ex. When editing players ALT-S is
  78.     a quick way to save without having to tab through all the fields.  The
  79.     whole interface loosely conforms to Windows(tm) conventions so If you have
  80.     used windows you should have no problem.

  96. I have added 2 flexible and powerful new categories to the scouting reports:

  98.     1. KEY RATINGS - Will rank players by the ratings DYNAMIX has identified
  99.                      as the "Key" ratings for that position.  Program will rank
  100.                      based on the AVG of each players Key Ratings !!

  102.     2. COMBINED    - Allows you to flag a combination of ratings that you feel
  103.                      are important.  Just click on the ones you want to rank
  104.                      on and let the program do the rest.

  126. I completely revamped the interface here.  Now it is possible to update
  127. multiple ratings for multiple positions in 1 PASS.  Just adjust the ratings
  128. sliders and click on the positions you want to include.  PLEASE NOTE: This is
  129. a VERY POWERFUL feature that makes MAJOR changes..  Always back up your league
  130. files!!!!!
